Responsive Websites Using Centralized Management & Communication For VZW Testament Belgium Using DNN CMS, Bootstrap & DNN Sharp Modules

Duotix is a web design agency with experience in web development and graphic design. Their team develops feature rich but affordable websites, professional online shops, logos and corporate identities. They are located close to Bruges.

Background

Testament.be is a well known Belgian organisation that unites more than 100 charity organisations. They strive to raise funds for those organisations by asking people to add these charities to their last will and testament. They provide people with financial and other advice on how to do this and inform about what the (financial and other) benifits can be of adding a charity to their testament.

The Challenge

Duotix was assigned to build for Testament.be 5 new biliangual websites (one central management website, one main website, three event websites). The management website needs to gather all information provided by the 4 other websites, to organise and edit all contacts provided by the website, to organise and edit all charity organisations shown on all websites and to communicate with all charity organisations about new contacts.

It also needs to build reports of all kinds, print address labels to send info to contacts, organise the event of one of the two event websites (dates/events/participation etc.) and manage all content and communication bilingually. The website should be https secured, fully responsive and it should communicate on many points with Mailchimp.

The main website and the event websites need to use the same data that is centralised in the management website and send data to the management website. It should have customized forms and layout of that same data, each in respect to their event or function and it should be https secured and fully responsive.

The Solution

Talented people is key to deliver quality services, but the right tools are important to keep everyone sane while doing it.

The solution was built on top of DNN that provided CMS functionality, https security and bilinguallity.

DNN Sharp's modules (App Sharp) was used to create all management grids and edit/add functions (contacts, charities, etc.), automatically communicate using email with contacts and charities, print address labels.

In addition to crafting a fully responsive experience, by means of these modules, all centralized data on all websites were shown and used, PDF reports were built and printed, contact forms on the event websites were created and the communication with Mailchimp was implemented.

We had little or no problems building this with DNN Sharp modules. All bugs encountered during development were solved in a timely matter.

We needed a few enhancements and these were handled professionally and prices were affordable.
